Interviurile se tin cu angajatorii (in unele cazuri si cu agentiile partenere din UK) in limba engleza. Este necesara cunoasterea limbii engleze la nivel mediu.

Primul pas il reprezinta interviul telefonic.

Pasul doi poate fi prin intermediul internetului (SKYPE, YM) sau fata in fata cu angajatorii.

Din interviurile pe care le-am avut pana acum va recomandam:

Nevoile Virginiei Henderson.

Autocaracterizare (de ce sunteti potrivita sa lucrati in acest domeniu).

Cum trebuie sa va purtati cu persoanele in varsta rezidente.

Informatii generale despre dementa, Alzheimer, persoane cu dizabilitati.

Scrisoare catre familie.

Va recomandam sa invatati aceste lucruri direct in limba engleza pentru va va fi mult mai usor decat sa le traduceti in momentul interviului.

Va prezentam punctul de vedere al unui angajator care a avut amabilitatea sa ne dea unele recomandari:

“Romanian nurses have usually a broad experience as clinicians (Venopancture,cannulation,intubation,etc……. Being familiar with these techniques came from their placement or employment with Hospitals. These is a good thing, but the majority of them don’t realise that giving care to elderly is a distinctive part of nursing process.Therefor,they should emphasise more on the 14 needs described by Virginia Henderson (Communication,personal hygiene, nutrition, sleeping…………….etc). Very important is to respect the dignity of the resident and their choices. They should know that an elderly person is considered vulnerable, and therefore researches have to be done of what Abuse is and how can be identified.

Considering that Mobility issues are a frequent occurrence in the elderly, in UK, manual handling is limited and sometimes forbiden,so basic knowledge of Moving&Handling of the resident is very important.

And of course there are many other specific topics related to the care for the elderly.

The governmental body who regulate the Health Industry in UK is named Care Quality Comission.Probably is worth it to have a look on the internet and try to understand basic principles of how CQC operate in relation to Nursing Homes.

I know that between Romanian and British Health System are big gaps and there is no way a romanian nurse will know such things, but it will be a big bonus for them if can learn few basic knowledge about all the topics I listed above(all they have to do is just google it).
